Biography


James Cirincione concentrates his practice on general business litigation and counseling in federal and state courts. He has experience representing clients in complex commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, product liability litigation, class action defense, mass torts, and construction litigation. Prior to joining Hansen Reynolds LLC, he was a litigator at two AmLaw 100 firms and the legal department of a Fortune 500 company. In addition, he served as an 11th Circuit and Eastern District of Wisconsin clerk.

Experience


Represented consumer product manufacturers in product liability actions in the federal and state courts and in administrative proceedings before the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission.

Defended health insurers in numerous breach of contract, bad faith, and fraud actions alleging wrongful denial of coverage.

Led the defense of race discrimination claims brought against a minority-owned telecommunications company by a former employee. The plaintiff voluntarily dismissed her claims after discovery.

Member of a litigation team that defended a fuel pipeline operator in toxic tort actions related to an accidental gasoline release in Southeast Wisconsin.

Member of a litigation team that represented a major public university in multi-jurisdictional litigation against its former athletic conference arising out of conference realignment.

As corporate litigation counsel, managed all material commercial litigation pending in North America, including products liability, construction, commercial contracting, and intellectual property matters.
