As part of its community outreach effort, Toby Reynolds of Hansen Reynolds was happy to participate in a special event at the North Point Lighthouse last Wednesday. Jerome Griffith of Lands' End announced that the company had chosen the North Point Lighthouse as the 2018 recipient of its Land’s End Lighthouse Initiative grant. The North Point Lighthouse received $20,000 from Lands’ End to help with the restoration of the North Point Lighthouse’s South Ravine trail. Among other things, the project aids in the management of runoff to deliver clean water to Lake Michigan.
As a member of the Lighthouse’s board of directors, Mr. Reynolds wants to thank those who made the event a success, including Reynolds Wolf of the Weather Channel, who conducted its national broadcast from the Lighthouse on Wednesday, Jeff Gales of the U.S. Lighthouse Society, Tiffany Ogle of The Morning Blend TMJ4 and all the hardworking Lands’ End and Lighthouse staff who made the event a success.
Previous lighthouses recognized by Lands’ End were the Block Island Southeast Lighthouse (2014), Alcatraz Island Lighthouse (2015), and the Boston Light (2016).
