Alex Holtshouser’s practice focuses on patent and trademark prosecution, along with counseling regarding intellectual property rights. Mr. Holtshouser helps identify valuable areas of patent protection in a budget-conscious manner before proceeding with filing patent applications. Mr. Holtshouser worked as an intern and patent agent at an IP boutique and a Tier 1 automotive supplier prior to graduating law school. Following graduation, he worked in the patent prosecution department at two AM 200 law firms where he prepared and prosecuted patent applications in various industries, including medical devices, automotive assemblies and components, industrial assemblies and vehicles, aerospace assemblies, computer technologies, and consumer goods. His experience includes managing patent portfolios for Fortune 500 companies, including an automotive OEM, Tier 1 automotive suppliers, a medical device company, and an aerospace company. Mr. Holtshouser also has extensive experience in counseling start-ups and independent inventors, providing thoughtful counsel on building valuable patent portfolios on a set budget, allowing the clients to navigate barriers to entry in their respective industries.
