Biography

Abigail Troy joined the Hansen Reynolds Patent Prosecution practice group in 2024. Ms. Troy has a wealth of experience in patent law that informs every patent application she prepares and prosecutes.

Ms. Troy is a former Primary Patent Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, where she worked for nearly a decade in a mechanical work group. Upon graduation from law school, which she attended while working full-time at the Patent Office, Ms. Troy joined Harrity & Harrity, LLP –a top-ranked patent boutique law firm in the Washington, DC area. While there, Ms. Troy prepared and prosecuted patent applications across a wide range of technologies, including construction equipment, power systems, medical devices, computer software, telecommunications, optics, and business methods.
